Honestly, all I want to hear about him after he dies is just that he’s dead, then we all simply and collectively move on and try to forget this dark chapter.

I’m not interested in cooking him posthumously for all the things he’s doing that we already know are problems. I’m interested in what we’re going to do next.

    Make politics boring again.

Astounding take. “Moving on and forgetting” is a great way to end up in the same situation all over again. Politics can be boring once the system functions in an equitable and sustainable manner. We don’t get there by sweeping everything under the rug and sauntering away into the sunset.

Well, that will learn me to post late night/early morning.

For clarity: I want to forget this dark chapter. I don’t want history to forget.

I should’ve said it better. That’s on me.

Thanks for calling me out on it. Hopefully I can do better in the future.

If people proved something that is they will always take the wrong conclusion from past events, so I prefer for them to forget actually

Simply moving on is extremely inadequate.

There will need to be decades of repair work done before the USA is returned to its previous level. Not to mention also fixing the systemic weaknesses that allowed someone like Trump to do the damage that has been done.
