The directive to ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, which was first reported by the New York Times, didn’t come down as written orders, two of the ICE officials told The Intercept.

Instead, said one of the ICE officials who works in the Mountain West region, the order came down through field office directors to avoid red tape associated with putting an official policy in place.

Great, so these orders will exist for as long as ICE wants to get friendlier headlines and instantly vanish into thin air the next time one of their agents murders somebody driving a car

“We have been told to either grab them before they leave their parking spot, or follow them and arrest them where they stop (ie a gas station or place of work) to avoid these situations,” said an ICE official from the South.

“This shit isn’t normal,” the official said. “Whatever these chucklefucks did in Maine and Houston is serious.”

Please please tell me this is real and not satire…

They elected it and they were warned it would happen if they did, even by their own candidates.

It’s real. There’s only one way to stop it as well because they aren’t getting it voted out whether they hold an election or not.

As noted in other stories posted for this, Collins asked her GOPal in the DHS for the change, which is the surefire way you know it’s unserious, temporary, and meant only to dampen bad headlines until the election:

King’s spokesman Matthew Felling says the Department of Homeland Security confirmed the policy shift. Maine Sen. Susan Collins also posted on X Tuesday that she had called for change.

“I spoke with DHS Secretary Mullin last night and urged him to cease all non-urgent vehicle stops,” she wrote.

      Cease all non-urgent vehicle stops

So… They just claim all are urgent. Which is what they’ve already been saying.

They are fucking scum, and this isnt news.
