      games usually remove denuvo when sales are less than the cost to keep the denuvo subscription up. denuvo is not a one time purchase for devs

      Yeah, because microsoft’s fortunes lie with the couple thousand that didn’t buy this game due to denuvo. C’mon man. It was probably too expensive to keep paying denuvo since they were sunsetting the studio anyway.

        I’m probably being overly skeptical - but even if the timing was already locked in before the announced cuts at id and elsewhere; you can’t argue that they wouldn’t at least be trying to shift the news cycle across.
