Microsoft/id desperately trying to salvage some good will after announcing a tonne of layoffs?
Fuck that noise.

I don’t know about crappy; but it’s very much a guilty pleasure movie of mine.
There’s a difference between region hopping from Europe to Latin America in a short period of time, and Switzerland to France/Italy/Germany/Austria - all three of which have major cities within ~3-4hrs.
So as long as the Steam Machine is eligible for purchase in one of those nations, this remains a viable option.
If you want to keep sole ownership (ie. invoice in your name, your CC etc.) and can’t go through a friend/relative in a neighbouring country - you could use a VPN and a freight-forwarding service in said country?
I’ve utilised similar methods in the past to get EU-only goods here into Australia.
It’s the New York Post; a Murdoch-owned rag barely worth lining your pet’s litter bin with - let alone taking seriously.

Which is so fucking braindead - they could have just as easily leveraged that now-experienced team to get a Assassin’s Creed - Rogue remake out in good time, especially as that has more of the same Black Flag ship mechanics, and most players missed out due to the transition from PS3 > PS4.
Given the price bracket, I would be surprised if OP was doing anything more than gaming - but for general video editing, the 9060XT would out-perform the 3060 Ti. Only once applications start heavily demanding CUDA cores (Adobe suite, predominantly After Effects), would the GeForce card pull away.
Seconding @theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world, don’t accidentally sleep on AMD GPUs - they offer better performance dollar-vs.-dollar than Nvidia; are much better supported in Linux (if you ever get sick of Windows 11), and you also wouldn’t be rewarding the biggest architect of the current PC component pricing crisis!
In terms of what to check for, compatibility wise:
Either way, happy gaming!
I’d love to see something like the SuperDock come out for the Steam Machine, except like - actually functioning would be a bonus!

I’m old enough to remember this happening, it was her attempts to remove a photo from a coastline survey that depicted her home off the Internet:

While I agree with the underlying sentiment, this is actually false.
The primaries NOW for upcoming Senate and Congress seats are just as, if not more important than the inevitable outcome in November.
If you need any proof, just look at the outsized coverage every single DSA-linked candidate has gotten since winning their respective primaries.
I’m probably being overly skeptical - but even if the timing was already locked in before the announced cuts at id and elsewhere; you can’t argue that they wouldn’t at least be trying to shift the news cycle across.
