That’s 4,800 families going to have a really bad summer, people having to look for work when the tech sector is only laying people off, stress, depression and misery.
Microsoft made $101 billion in pure profit last year, if each of these employees were on $100k it would represent less than 0.5% of their profit.
People are disposable when all you care about is profit.
I completely understand your point here, I just worry that we are the same point in history where people just hadn’t connected the dots yet.
There is a genocide going on in Gaza, there is ethnic cleaning going on in the USA and the NHS has handed off (to at least some small degree) who gets what medical treatment and when to AI.
