Edit; Formatting is hard, and I’m giving up on the joke. Fox would never admit to such truths even in a subscript at the bottom of an article.
I always thought of the Herman Cain award being given out when the cause of death was something the person said wasn’t real.
Like Herman Cain and COVID.
McConnell is just ancient and evil. There’s no award for then an ancient evil dies, just relief.
The first winner of the famous Herman Cain award during COVID. Awarded posthumously.
I don’t know, Pike was kind of a hero, and then lived out the rest of his life in what was basically the Matrix on Talos IV.
Or maybe a holodeck. The analogy is hard because the episodes were a bit vague except calling it illusion.
Either way, McConnell has been sort of the opposite of Pike.
Even medically, there was never damage to Pike’s brain, McConnell was stroking out years ago.

Again, not a protected species, also, don’t fucking plant kudzu.
Plant a state and federally environmentally protected species, native to the area. Plant a bunch of them and then report the plants to local protective agencies and environmentalist groups. Do your best to hide the fact that these are transplanted plants.
Plant kudzu and all you’re doing is annoying the construction company, forcing them to pave over everything.

It’s actually waves of religious extremism. Ebbs and flows. It can be, and has been, fought before. The problem is that it never fully dies out.
I’d like to think that reason can eventually win. If only because the religious extremists keep taking it to, well, extremes. This drives people away from the belief, because why the fuck would you ever believe in the shit the extremists preach?
They tell you that you’re worthless, that you should bow and scrape while they ignore every single tenet of their own religion. Holiness becomes removed from actions and becomes and excuse for terrible behavior.
But then the extremist are forced to back off, or their little sect of greed worship dies out when the grifter claiming to be a preacher dies or gets sent to prison, and the cycle is primed to begin again when a new sect of Christianity pops up to start recruiting in an area, often by first attacking non-Christian education options.

No one is illegal on stolen land.
Land of the free was a promise that we can still keep.

Not really, because it can’t be solved, just worked around.
Lasers are still subject to the inverse square law, but with a slightly different multiplier.
Also, lasers still have the bandwidth issue of not being able to double up the communication lines due to cross talk and other fun physics issues.
There’s a reason why fiber will never go out of style.

There’s also the very real problem of data transfer.
On land you just lay down another fiber optic cable and you can double your data transfer rate.
In space, you have to deal with cross talk and interference on a limited spectrum.

State law. Rrump can’t pardon it away.
If even half the accusations are true, then OpenAI doesn’t have a chance in hell of existing at the end of this. The accusation alone might sink the company. They’re projected to be completely out of money this time next year, they might have saved it with an IPO, but the general vibe is not optimistic for them, and that was before being accused of blatant industrial espionage of Apple IP.
I have never once given Apple money, and very likely never will, but if they kill OpenAI and pop this bubble then I’ll give them a slight nod of respect before I go back to asking pointed questions about why all their factories need suicide nets.
