You can at least look at options presented to you. Even Google Maps will let you manually sift through businesses. Letting your fucking sunglasses tell you “go here” is immensely different, dude.

And still, I don’t get their use case unless it’s to be deliberately sneaky. Even their own ads are just “if you’re a pathetic idiot with no friends or ability to plan ahead even a little bit, these are the glasses for you!”
At a fancy restaurant by yourself and don’t know how the utensils work?
Need a hotel and just wanna blindly trust your glasses?
Can’t speak the local language at a resort full of anglophones and the attendant for some reason only speaks that language?
Or maybe you’re at a concert by yourself and really need to film something(you don’t, everyone else should be putting their fucking phones away, too).
Like LLMs, they’re a sad technology for sad, stupid people.

Don’t forget that once you’re out, the first people to screw over veterans, in any country really, are conservatives. They got their worth out of you and if you die in the streets that’s a you problem.

It’s partly the fact that hundreds of millions of people the world over, possibly several billion people, believe that they only got there because they were competent and do nothing to stop them.

Gavin Newsom is more overtly right-wing than our Canadian Prime Minister was when he was campaigning and even then it was pretty clear who he was going to work for. Now that he’s in charge he’s selling our country for parts and fucking us all over, down to trying to order a strike to be illegal to help out an airline. There are “surveys” they’re putting out that only allow compliments.
Gavin Newsom is objectively worse than Carney and Carney is awful. The only thing making these people appear less awful than Trump is that their suits fit, they don’t have dementia, and they’re willing to appear at a pride parade if only to launder their image. The distinction is functionally meaningless at this point.

Avoid all GM vehicles, they are directly responsible for the pathetic state of US public infrastructure and they have literally been caught valuing profits over their customers’ lives.

Voting against people is what’s given conservatives disguised as centrists power all around the world. Stop being so proudly stupid and actually demand real change. It can be done, but carrying on like you are only adds barriers to progress.

Literally your entire comment is based entirely on screaming at me ynder the assumption that I was from the US. Now you’re big mad that you look like an idiot and taking it out on me because you’re so painfully insecure you nothing can ever be your fault. The only “insult” in my comment was that I called you “chief.”
No insult I can throw at you will ever be as impactful as what you seem to think about yourself, so I’ll let you do your thing.

I’m not from the US either, chief. Besides, where you’re from has no bearing on my comment.

“The cat is now out of the bag” see that’s the problem right there. The US has had obviously bad politics for a really long time, and if you needed the last election to tell you that then it is you who are astronomically stupid and ignorant.
What moved 48% of voters was Trump being himself and voters voting against him instead of for Harris. I highly doubt a leftist candidate who was actually engaging and a true representative of the people would have had a hard time winning. Harris herself was doing pretty well at the start when she had a much more progressive message and then she blew it all up by fucking around with Liz Cheney and halting any of the shit that got her campaign going at the start.

All of that, but also “These poorly translated parts of the old testament which let me hate others can stay, though.”
Something I find interesting about other religions in the world is that most of them commit to the whole thing, or at least a lot of it, even when it’s inconvenient. Islam has so many things happening all the time, a lot of which involves fasting or not eating certain things, or praying at annoying times in specific ways. Then there’s Christianity, a religion where the most you really have to do is have an annoying bumper sticker and go to church where someone tells you to hate other people but that you can ignore all the bothersome stuff like no tattoos, no mixing fabrics, or any of that other stuff.
It’s a joke religion for lazy people who want excuses.

Why wait? What is with people trying to act so slick and cool?
Yes, it sucks, but it’s a) being used as if it’s intelligent, which is arguably much worse, and b) going to eventually get to a point where it’s at least not terrible(at its job, specifically, as it’s pretty bad for a lot of things).
For a personal reason, I’m worried about it because it’s very likely filtering my CV based on a work gap that’s only getting worse because my CV is getting filtered. It’s not intelligent, but HR companies and departments are using it for that anyway.

A guy at my last job had a major, fundamental misunderstanding of how the local building code was updated annually. He, and the partner who said I was wrong for “insubordination” when I refused to do the work using outdated codes, ended up in front of the professional engineers board and had to formally make a plan to show how they would never make that mistake again. It wasn’t exactly license revoking, but it felt great to have started that process haha
The best part was that I know the firm’s code nerd was spoken to to tell me I was wrong and they sent out a company wide notice about making sure your code was updated. No one ever apologized to me. I only submitted the report after they let me go for “not being a good fit”.

The “centrists” and conservatives will always be hostile. The world needs to stop playing their game, stop giving them appeasement compromises, stop voting center to avoid conservatism and getting it anyway.
There is nothing you can do to compromise with someone who believes that human life has no inherent value. There is nothing you can do to compromise with someone who still cannot admit to a genocide in Palestine. It’s not being a “purist”, there’s still so much nuance and diversity of opinion that exists once we strip away the absolute bullshit and throw it in the fucking trash where it belongs.

Similarly, I know people who bought F-150s for motorycles after going to the track only one time. We worked with actual consistent track-goers who each had vans. I used one of theirs to move my bike to the shop, and it was really funny watching them struggle with a small Ninja 250.
People with truck brain are so fuckin’ stupid.

And out of the people who do need them, vans are still a much better way to go for many of them. Vans which have at least a margainally better field of view with their short, sloped hoods.
We had a lot of that technology before and didn’t need inefficient AI to do it for us. Also do LLMs(large language models) actually identify plants?
We functioned without this bullshit just fine only a few years ago. This whole AI buzz is a post-covid thing and people are acting like we’d all die and civilization would grind to a halt if we don’t let data centres fuck us up our collective asshole.
