Papst Leo würde sich vermutlich nie dazu hinreißen lassen, aber so wie der sich bisher positioniert hat wäre der in Deutschland vermutlich bei den Linken beheimatet - abgesehen von den offensichtlich katholischen Macken rund um Frauen, Homosexualität, usw.

Even if protecting players is the intent, it usually just takes me out of the immersive RPG experience.

I want to explore a location, fight enemies, talk to NPCs etc. - but then I pick up some loot and suddenly I’m incumbered (DnD-style games) or have to play Tetris (Diabolo, Path of Exile, Titan Quest, etc.) to fit my new loot in.

It breaks my immersion to suddenly switch from resolving epic conflict XYZ to comparing stats between swords because I cannot carry both. It feels like a chore.

Is inventory management actually a part of RPGs that anyone enjoys?

Personally, it’s really not my favourite gameplay mechanic.

Das Saarland hat gerade mal ca. 2,5 Milliarden m².

Ist also bisschen knapper als bei einigen anderen Bundesländern.

Because we don’t fucking fight for ‘the system’ but for our families, our way of life, our freedom to say what we think and love who we want, and all those other soppy reasons. If anyone ever attacks Germany, you bet their ‘system’ is infinitely worse than any gripes we have with the current state of affairs.

That’s not to invalidate your good points of criticism, but those are peace-time policy points. If we cannot ensure our own survival in a world where increasingly the weak are preyed on by the strong, a comment like yours might land you in jail or face down in a ditch. Seems worthwhile to me to defend a political system that mostly prevents that.
