Some of the racist characters are definitely “of the time”. I always show them to my seventh grade civics students to point out how propaganda works (and to make sure they don’t hold their heroes too close).

Before he could find work as an author, Seuss had a run of amazing political cartoons leading up to and during World War II. They are archived at some college web site called “Seuss Goes To War”.

The “staggered” enemies reminds me of Octopath Traveller. Having an eight person party is a lot like the Octopath mobile game, too. But I do appreciate the pixel art.
