Yeah these charges are just going to make her a martyr to the anti-vaxxers. I do feel uneasy seeing any mom charged for the death of her own baby/toddler without clear evidence; seeing all the charges for murders for miscarriages, and cases like “Dingo ate my Baby”. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is a real thing; and all too often mothers face criminal scrutiny just for being the caretaker of a baby/toddler that passes.
We’ll have to see what the state’s proof is for the foul play.

Jester haunted a townie night 2, the Werewolf got our doctor, and three folks claimed Town Killing. Yes the Vigi shot the Jailor but they HAD to make a play. TPows fault for not leading.

oh I totally agree. Also allowing people to be abducted and disappeared is immoral; and without cause is unbearable. These laws obviously never should have been passed.

TBF multiple people have tried, but yes I am shocked how easily a nation of 300 million can be steered toward the unthinkable.

Adding onto the “preventing people from voting” thing… y’know in the USA anyone can be arrested for up to 72 hours under “Involuntary Psychiatric Holds”, without any standard of probable cause. You have no trial, no recourse and there is not even a bench trial (generally cops have to bring you in front of a judge within 24 hours of being arrested).
I’m not saying that will happen, but it’s a possibility we should keep in mind. These laws exist at the state/local level from what I understand, so it’s something we could have reversed before that election. If anyone has ideas on how to do that, now would be a good time to get that momentum going before November.

Calling it an accident just lays the carpet for the Department of WAR to request more money for “training” and “better equipment” (to kill more civilians including children).
I don’t want the US government to have better tools for killing people in the Middle East. I want the US government to stop killing people in the Middle East. We gain nothing by taking them at their word.
Keep in mind that this was declared an Iranian attack by the USA before the USA labeled in an “accident”. Push harder and they’ll probably use Israeli’s argument about “human shields” to blame Iran again.

Don’t buy the “accident” cover-up. What about the USA/Israeli treatment of Muslim-majority Middle East countries makes anyone think the USA/Israel wouldn’t want to blow up an elementary school and kill 120 kids? Is the ongoing murder of Palestinian civilians including children also a series of accidents? And what about the orphanage?
Opting into their preferred language only creates a semblance of doubt that the USA will use to move past this murder so their “disjointed” systems can blow up another group of civilians.
I recall hearing of a metaphor under the name “Tea Consent”. The idea is that consent for sex is much like asking for a cup of tea. Even if I ask you, repeatedly, for that cup of tea: You can not force me to drink it.
Now you might get annoyed if someone repeatedly asks for tea and then declines it when it’s ready. That’s an acceptable feeling, and you may very well choose not to continue obliging that person as a companion, or at least not as one who you make tea. However, if you choose to get the tea ready, and that person again changes their mind, you still can’t force them to drink it.
