Done before. Pretty straight forward. Even making a basic Bash or CMD launcher is pretty simple, if you just want an interactive menu for opening games.

Also GOG has emulated games, so the image could be taken more literally too.

I’m biased towards preservation, ownership, tinkering, analogue instead of online, and the sort, and it doesn’t feel like it’s worth the price to me.

With the money already spent, I think it should be played. The nagging problem would be that the game, unless an emulated MS-DOS game, is tied by DRM to their launcher.

But still, in the line of not losing as much by not playing something you spent on, playing the game could be good at least to leave an in-depth review about the qualities of the game, the technical sides, the background of the company, price point, etc. And you could also post the review to NeoDB (part of the fediverse), Steam (if you have the game there), GameFAQS, etc.

Rule 2 though?

Twin stick shooter, was on Steam already and released for the Switch and the PS5.

Adding to that, with PCs overall, you can still stick an USB disc reader to read physical games, or whichever other physical medias that you may find.

Besides, if still going all digital, there’s DRM-free gaming, another field Sony cannot compete by their own choice.

Games with the biggest budget, no?

Usually smaller games seem to be DRM-free from my experience, even when the platform facilitates and incentivizes DRM usage. And these smaller games are also the majority of games.
