Given that the author is a Kirill Yeskov, I think it’s safe to say that it’s fanfic, yes. Akin to Paradise Lost being the real story of the Bibble.
Fanfic is fine provided it’s written well. I’ve never heard of Kirill Yeskov, but I like a good reimagining of a classic text.
