Fuck the labour purchasers. The best time to unionise was decades ago, the next best time is right now. Fucking unionise now.

I don’t know if that’s true. Here in Sweden people were deadly afraid of being called racists for a long time. Being a nazi wasn’t acceptable in the public eye. Then being a racist nazi got normalised and here we are.
Giving bigots a platform and visibility serves to normalise them. They should be shamed into nonexistence.

This in my experience is the hallmark of a vibe coded project. Individual pieces of code can be perfectly fine, but when you zoom out into an overall structure things get weird. Design patterns changing, same/similar problems solved in different, sometimes conflicting ways.
Been working on a project like that at work. Initially I enjoyed the change of pace, but as I realised that there’s no coherence at all in the project structure my joy turned into frustration.
To me, the most frustrating thing is that you can’t ask someone why something is done in a particular way, because no decision was ever made because no one was there to make a decision. Things just happened.

You can change the screen on my t480. Lots of things can be changed on it. It also cost less than $200.

“We can’t talk about life because we must appease the advertisers.”
The advertisers.
That’s very neat! It doesn’t really work for my Ente use-case, but definitely good to know!
It wasn’t rsync that started breaking because of some Claude changes, right?
I use Ente, but it’s purely because I want my images backed up in the cloud, but I don’t want the server provider to be able to mess around with them. Hence the e2ee being important to me.
I love Ente, I think it’s a great project, but for self-hosting, immich seems like the best choice to me.

Örebropartiet espouses assimilation, not integration. They push for remigration of people who don’t assimilate.
That’s worked out wonderfully under our current Tidelagsregering, no? We’re sending home children who we’ve raised, educated, and given jobs, to countries they’ve never been to, because their parents fucked up, be that by accident or on purpose. Sins of the father, and all that.
I’m not disagreeing with tjänstemannaansvar, or reduced salaries for politicians, or free dental care. Those are all low-hanging fruit though, obvious to any working class person. The stickler is the extremely racist rhetoric that comes with it.
That isn’t a difference of opinion, it’s plain bigotry and dehumanisation.

Having a difference of opinion is like “no Margaret, I’m glad you enjoy buttercream frosting but I’m going to stick with this apple pie.” That’s a difference of opinion.
“Non-whites are subhuman and don’t belong in the same country as me” is not a difference of opinion, Internet Explorer.
Not at all. The 13-year old is a hormonal brat that doesn’t have the years under their belt. They’re still growing and learning how their actions affect others. They should know better, and often do, but we give leeway to children because fucking up is part of growing and learning.
The men and women currently in charge have no such excuse.
I was thinking that this sounds good at face value, but it could easily just be a throwaway publicity stunt.
Let’s just make up a scenario, purely for illustrative purposes. Say our baseline is in 2022, customers paid ~100 a month in electricity. Then over the years, data centres came along, they struck deals, and individual consumers electricity bills went up to 200, which we are at today.
Then, NicePowerCompanyLLC decides to hike the prices for the datacentres by 30%, and reduce the prices by 1.3% for the residentials. That’s still 98.7% higher than the baseline before the datacentres. That’s to say, they data centres are still having their costs subsidized by regular people.
Ergo, if the prices already got hiked because of the datacentres, this tiny concession is a piss in the ocean. It’s just a publicity stunt to make themselves look better while people are still buckling under the exploitation of having to carry billion dollar industries on their backs, with no real benefit to themselves.
