mostly what I’ve run into in real life is a marked, outward dislike for education and expertise. They don’t think they’re smart, just that everyone else is obviously stupid because you don’t buy into their garbage. they genuinely dislike people who appreciate education. they don’t read. at all. it’s pretty amazing.
