In May, the House Energy and Commerce Committee voted 48-1 in favor of the Sunshine Protection Act. The U.S. Senate voted unanimously in March 2022 to make daylight saving time permanent but the House never took up the measure in the face of opposition. The proposal the House will consider next week would allow states to opt out.
Where in your time zone do you live? I bet you’re way out on the eastern end of whatever zone you’re in, because your complaints don’t seem to match mine at all. The November time change is the one that sucks, because it suddenly and unceremoniously steals the only hour of daylight I have for myself, and holds it hostage for four months.
