      It’s basically a debit card that you can use everywhere in the EU. This means you don’t have to use a credit card that almost certainly uses the American VISA/Mastercard network when traveling Europe.

      You might still need a credit card for world-wide payments, but 99.9% of my payments are within the EU, so I’m looking forward to ditching US payment rails.

      They are also planning advanced privacy features that far exceed the privacy you get when using VISA/Mastercard (which is almost non-existent).

        he means we also dont’t say digitial dollars, we say credit cards. digital euro… everthing not bar is digital

          Yeah, I’m going to admit, the name is stupid. It makes no sense and confuses people. Terrible branding.
