Not really. I would consider 2 years pretty average. Some games get abandoned in less time, some are in early access for double the time. Some games are basically complete and are only in early access for a few months. I don’t have a problem with any approach, as long as the game is getting worked on of course.
Like Going Medieval. Came out in June 2021 and had 5 years of steady regular content updates.
