When I got my huge GPU I had to run the wires to the top of the case with a PCIe extension. I ran the GPU on top of the case for a few years. Great ventilation and it didnt heat up inside the case lol

Pro Tip: Always measure the available space in your case before orderning new hardware.

Been there. Considered some structural mods, turns out cases are one of the few things that aren’t miserably overpriced yet.

This is why I have a huge Full-ATX tower case. I don’t know how big graphics cards are going to be in the future, but they seem to be getting bigger, so I must now future-proof even my PC case lol

I still have an AMD 7970 laying around with a cutoff shroud for this reason.

I was young and wanted to play…

GET BIGGER CASE ADD LIGHTS MAKE BIG SUPER TOWER AND REWIRE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR MORE POWER

I DON’T UNDERSTAND SMALL CASE NO ROOM FOR DECORATIONS

If you get everything out if those 3.5” / 5.25” bays you might just be able to do a clever rotation to get the card into place

Depending on the case the bays can be removable. I had to take mine out to my GPU.

Buuuut if the GPU doesn’t fit in the case length wise these massive ass GPUs probably won’t fit height wise either. My 12vhpwr cable is making an uncomfortable ass turn with the side panel on. And it seems like every angled adapter is more house fire than the last so I’ve held off on adapters.

      …once

I would be so worried about destroying the GPU I’d sooner remove the motherboard and reinstall them both as a single component. Idk if it’s just me but I always have an ass of a time getting the GPU in and out of the PCI slot with some trepidatious combination of rocking, pulling/pushing what feels like way too hard, and destroying my fingers trying to operate that little slot lock piece. Skill issue?

I had the same problem not too long ago. I just bought a PCI-E extender and have the card sitting outside the case.

I just got tin snips and cut the case out when I downsized cases. It was a cheap one I had kicking around so i didn’t feel too bad

I am curious the case now. I am always paranoid about this and haven’t bought a 3 fan for this reason
