I have noticed it’s not uncommon for there to be quite a few posts around self hosting security, especially with any services that would be public facing. I was thinking security is (or should be) a core component of self hosting and was wondering if it would be worth a resource wiki would be beneficial on the sidebar under resources? At least for some 101 security guides/resources

Yeah the content generation is definitely not my forte , my idea of a strong password is P@ssword. I think definitely a link aggregate would be the lowest hanging fruit. But looking at the limited engagement on the post it might not be of interest to the community. I need to work on my security knowledge anyway so I’ll chip away at something. If it eventuates I might raise it again in 6-12 months

Eh I can just start something, but it’ll probably be tomorrow.

In true internet fashion, maybe I’ll put some terrible recommendations in and let the fediverse “correct” me. Or I’ll just put together a decent list of links :)

This sounds very wise, enthusiasm to correct is much stronger than to generate. I’ll start throwing some things together… but there’s a bit skill gap

I actually started something yesterday on codeberg. Right now its just a glossary of terms, I haven’t had the time to do more than that.
