The link OP posted under the main article link references that, just a slight correction: it was Trump asking for a billion for his campaign from the oil companies and then he’d be “their guy” if he won.

The Iran war seemed like it was purpose built for the oil companies to profit wildly?
I think the oil companies got every cent and then some that’s for sure. Not sure how Trump funneled the money from his campaign to himself, but I don’t for one single second doubt that he did.
