No no, surely Mao said all power comes from posting memes discouraging voting, then doing nothing else at all. This is why .ml users have so much power.

Ah, so was WWII fought on just one front?

And here’s me thinking that it was a war fought in many fronts, and that was a large reason why it was won against insurmountable odds

Germany had been ramping up their military and triggered a war when many of the Alliance forces were in a time of relative stability and so had less military ready to go, alliance lost many of the early fights until they started fighting them on multiple fronts

Yes. Germany fought in multiple fronts and lost. Allied, as individual countries, fought mainly on a single front in WW1 and WW2, biggest exception being the US in WW2. And they came in late with an unmatched capacity.

              Are you deliberately misunderstanding?

Look at US Revolution. While Washington et al were fighting in the field, Ben Franklin was waging war by trying to get France involved. Spies were monitoring the Brits. The Americans had numerous efforts going on on several fronts.

I love asking the .ml losers to name a single event in history that was made better by someone doing nothing.

Aside from their typical pseudo-intellectual ad hominem, this is almost always the end of the discussion.

They banned me from their meme sub without discussion for calling out a historically very inaccurate meme. Such princesses these revolutionaries, I must say.

Yeah it’s typically either them calling for others to do a violent revolution, calling for people to not vote because there’s no point, or just generally insinuating that we should live in some vague form of anarchism that they can’t seem to support when asked the obvious questions others have regarding that ideology. Or all three at the same time if you’re talking to one of the more unhinged ones.

I’d say .ml is reaching insufferable levels of annoying, but we passed that milestone a while ago. I’m not even sure what word to use to describe their tedious bullshit. We all knew that kid in school that every clique could agree was annoying as shit and everyone just wanted them to go away. That’s where I’m at with them. Bug spray? Would that work? Rat traps?

      Pseudo-intellectual is an apt description.

Nobody is arguing for doing nothing, the argument is that political change comes from organizing and struggle outside the boundaries of the system, not through engaging within its legal limits.

        ¿Por qué no los dos?

Why not still attempt to utilize the process of voting while also organizing for the shittier scenario when others, because it definitely ain’t gonna be .ml pansies, have to do more than that to put the train back on the tracks?

Your response is also way more moderate than what most .ml trashcans are posting all over this platform.

Communists typically advocate voting for worker parties, such as the PSL. It isn’t that voting itself is a problem, it’s that placing our energy behind getting an imperialist party elected rather than the other is energy that could have been spent on growing the socialist organization. From the perspective of an individual, voting doesn’t take much time at all. From the perspective of an organization, election season takes a tremendous amount of effort, no matter which way you push for. These are the kinds of problems you run into when organizing that aren’t immediately obvious for those that are used to seeing political participation as purely an electoral measure.

Nah all political power comes from moralizing on the Internet about how no one should vote. Or at least they shouldn’t vote against fascism.
