“freedom” isn’t a single implementation… freedom is no freedom from (other people) and freedom to (do what you like

you’re free to swing your fist (freedom to) until it impacts me (freedom from - being hit)

even american law acknowledges this in the way that “freedom to” has its limits in order to protect “freedom from” (though their idea of freedom to, although probably among the broadest in the world legally, is hamstrung by their actual ability to exercise that freedom to because of money and probably not nearly enough freedom from)
