They’re downvoting you instead of engaging because they literally do not care about the struggle of trans people beyond its utility to punch left.
Amy Acton may not support trans athletes, but she still supports broad anti-discrimination protections for trans people in housing, employment, and public accommodations.
Vivek Ramaswamy does not support trans athletes, has advocated for bans of gender affirming care for those under 18, said he would “ban genital mutilation or chemical castration”, and said “transgenderism… is a mental disorder”.
I don’t know about you, but the former seems less harmful than the latter at the very least.
