    I think the problem is that in a system with first past the post voting and single district representation, the few Democrats who are worth supporting require the rest of the center right Dems to have a majority to have any real influence or access to power.

    That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be extremely critical of center right Democrats, just that there is some benefit to voting for a party that you mostly disagree with. The only real route if you still think the democratic process holds any water is to primary the center right and force the party’s hand from the ground up.

    We’ve recently seen that entryism is possible in modern politics, at least for conservatives… Whether or not it’s possible for progressives is still to be determined.
