and that they can take your content at any time for any reason.
Its less that they can and more that they definitely will. The fact that they can has been fear-mongered and pearl-clutched over since the dawn of online sales.
Until now its been handwaved away as obviously nobody would actually shoot themselves in the fucking face like that. But then they did.

Xbox did try with kinect. Then they shot themselves in the face by suggesting they were going to force it to always be on, always be online and use facial recognition to force everybody present to own a copy of the game.
They backtracked quick, but the noose was already around the ki-neck by then. I’m still salty about that. The kinect was fun as heck

I’m afraid it’ll be for xbox too. If you havent already you’ll need a PC and start a pirate treasure hoard.

I tried Buckshot Roulette on gamepass last night. That would 100% be getting refunded if it was anything more than 50p.

I think a lot of the world doesnt know either. All we got were the “look at the idiot try and form a complete sentence lol” jokes.
Which is still bad because he sounds properly eloquent compared to what youre working with today.

Sony, and to a slightly lesser extent Microsoft are fairly well shielded against piracy. They can do what they want and the console peasants will have to just shut up and take it because its not like you can afford to just buy a gaming PC in this economy.
A lot of steams customer base still has a tan-line where their eyepatch was. They know they can lose their customers at a moments notice so they actually have to try.

Would it be feasible (if thats not what’s happening here already) to just have blank boxes, blank discs, blank sleeve inserts, and just fire up the printer when an order comes in?
I could see it being “fairly easy” to automate, but no true understanding of if it would be realistically cost-effective or if it would scale appropriately or whatever.

You will pay for an expensive computer to pay for a subscription. And also there will be ads. And also your data will be sold off to the highest bidder. The data that you will be providing and verifying, because we need to protect the kids or something.
Oh shit, some people who kick a ball around for money have unfurled a banner.
Its over.
