It’s more costly to the developer when I dont buy their kernel AC game.

Anti-cheat should be server side. Cheats are done on external hardware now as kernel AC chased them into the undetectable zone, well played.

No game is worth sacrificing your entire PC to play.

It costs time and money to make them smaller, big studios dont want to waste that and know their games will sell regardless.

Steam also doesnt force DRM, it’s developers/publishers deciding to use it in the first place.

You’d only need Steam DRM for your game if you want to use any features like Steam multiplayer, workshop etc.

So while it’s easy to bypass, most games dont even need it in the first place.

They recently remade it, so there’s still a lot of features missing from previous versions. It’s a nice app though!

Well, while Valve had a hand in making that model popular, more so through CSGO, it was really “pioneered” and blown up by EA with FIFA Ultimate Team. Loot box mechanics existed before that even though, I know Maple Story had some.
