This is an absurd number.
I hate how people just say random stuff that they think sounds good and no one questions it anymore because it fulfils their financial fantasy.

He means Chinese AI.
Their LLMs are nearly as good and significantly cheaper to run.

I’m genuinely shocked and impressed that this seems to be traditional photo manipulation and not AI.

The truth is a lot (probably most) of Americans don’t have AC. It wasn’t really needed in most places until a few years ago. A lot of people rent and a lot of states don’t legally require AC in a rental. Because of that landlords refuse to install AC. If states started requiring it things would look a lot different.
Right, no stupid people have ever misunderstood a nazi joke in catastrophic ways that led to the fall of the western world.

There is no risk of embrace/extend/extinguish
99.999% sure the idea here is exactly that. They want a GPL free system.
What does the term “master race” mean in your head?
You do know know that “Trump for president” was originally intended as an ironic joke?
It feels like we need to stop making jokes that normalize nazi shit.
Edit: also your statement isn’t even true. First time I ever saw “pc master race” was on 4chan /pol
Remember when a Trump presidency was just a joke? I do.
Jokes get taken over by people who are too dumb to understand satire and irony. They don’t see a joke, they see an appealing idea being normalised.

Not accusing anyone here of white supremacy but “master race” is a term we really need to stop using/normalizing.

What makes you think Weird Al is friends with bezos and musk? With a net worth of under 20m he’s much closer to us than any of those people.
The owner of the last startup I worked for had more money than this.

Cargo != Rust
There is no word in which the borrow checker is easier to deal with than C.

Rust is absolutely not faster or easier than C. It’s safer but that’s it.
The issue with the rust utils license is that its MIT. Which many people see as vastly inferior to GPL. This is a very big deal to people who believe in the GPL.

2 things:
- why are Hawaii and Alaska in group #3
- this dude does not understand wars. The south would loose for the same reason they did last time. They have no infrastructure and they can’t read.
This is corporate propaganda. It very likely won’t. It hasn’t improved meaningfully in the last several years. All the “breakthroughs” have been around agentic harnesses and not the models themselves.
Either way, we’ve had models that are good enough to support the actual real world use cases for LLMs since some time last year.
Having people think progress is about to explode is benefiting share holders.
