In addition to that, there’s honestly a very real possibility that his mind is gone enough at this point that he can’t even really follow instructions anymore without someone physically present and nudging him along like a giant toddler.

Honestly I’m pretty sure physics would do that for you if he tried; the initial plan for that thing included more presidents but the rock was deemed too unstable. And that was with, y’know, actual competent engineers, not whoever the fuck Rapey the Clown would hire for the project.

Tbf I think there’s a degree of correlation vs causation at play here. Career politicians who have been in office for literal decades are more likely to be out of touch with how the average person actually lives and newcomers are likely to skew younger.
What we need is fresh blood. The age of the actual politicians is more just a natural consequence of that than the goal.
