Having dabbled with remote codes I can only assume that the remote sends a different, albeit common, signal. My Chromecast remote for example does not send (via Bluetooth) a traditional signal code for power, but a signal name that only is recognised by some devices.

I’m pretty sure that, if you take any one medium, if every single person who downloaded a pirated copy had to instead acquire it legally:

• a non-zero amount would’ve not bothered;
• a significant portion would’ve bought it on sale;
• a significant portion would’ve bought it from a reseller.

For those who don’t know, Activision and Blizzard games were subject to several ethical issues in the workplace, being soulsucking giant publishers, but the merger only compounded the problems and everyone below executive and white status gets royally fucked over.

The owner’s whining about it but they clearly have a success and overall profit. He needs to be more humble - so many other indie devs never have a breakout game. His worry over players getting enjoyment for free when devs asked for money is valid, though… It’s a difficult one. As for the alleged argument from some reviewers saying “games being completable under 2 hours should be free,” that’s obnoxious - I have completed €30 games like Left 4 Dead and Halo in 2 hours.

Idk, my partner has an RTX 1650 but the PC runs Mint, is a Dell Optiplex 990 with stock mid-2011 mobo, Intel i5-2400 CPU and 20GB DDR3-1333 RAM (8+8+2+2). It runs really well, considering.

One thing that hacks me off is a niche issue. Because I do a lot of image sourcing and saving on my phone, and many companies for some reason like to stop that, I have to keep a chromium browser handy. Some sites’ image context menu, containing the vital ‘save’ or ‘download’ option, do not appear on Firefox.
