True, though I guess they don’t change the OS (only the repos), and don’t advertise/celebrate it as much…
But complaining or anything, just thinking “out loud” why people could feel this way about Debian but not Mint
Nope, they’re completely separate distro families!
Because Mint does release minor releases every 6 months

My favourite part is the updater and I miss it in other distros. I don’t always want to update blindly, I hate it about Windows and Arch and NixOS don’t fare much better OOTB. Mint’s updater shows you what can be updated, the from and to versions, how much data would be transferred, and most importantly the changelog of each part!
I genuinely appreciate I can go through these, uninstall anything I don’t use anymore and learn what new things will come to my computer!
At least having this option beats "Build 16553 is downloading several gigs over your hotspot, it’s important to do this now trust us” from Windows 😒

My Dell monitor’s brightness can adjusted on Bazzite Linux out of the box but I’ve never been able to get this working on Linux Mint, Arch, Debian nor NixOS :/
Oh right, the UNIX epoch actually starts when UNIX was invented
Somehow, I didn’t expect that…
How so?
As someone who’s come back to Mint after distro hopping several times, welcome home 💚
