The idea that peacefully asking for stuff on its own is effective is largely ahistorical. A happy myth sold by the people who would be receiving violence.

Conservatives will say anything to align with the in-group, to hurt the outgroup, or for personal power. They have no internal beliefs beyond those.

I feel like it’s been that way for as long as the US has been a country. Maybe longer. There’s almost always different rules for rich people. People pay lip service to ideals like freedom and fairness, but then there’s the reality.

They want hierarchy. A king, nobles, and an underclass. They don’t care if they’re on top, just so long as someone is below them.

Climate criminal. Sentence him to a decade of litter removal, and bar him from holding office or working in any advisory or leadership roles.

Rather, it’s the presence of a competitive market.

That’s a difference between left and right. Conservatives value in-group loyalty more than truth or consistency. They fall in line. Feels good in their brain.

Meanwhile, Linux works just fine. Booted up, opened steam, played Elden Ring (today I learned you can parry Midra!). Worked on a spreadsheet for some personal finance. Did some coding. At no point did I see an ad or fight with the UI.
