Found an Ubuntu CD on the ground and took it home. It resurrected a dead laptop and since then I’ve only known the kiss of Linus
I’ve played a couple matches but it hadn’t clicked for me yet in the same way that TA or SupCom have.
Not the fault of the game, I still just spend most of my time looking at the build icons wondering what everything does.
Anyway, nice to hear there’s some good game in there once you get past the learning curve (same as any RTS, really).
I 100% agree especially now my time is so limited and I have so many amazing experiences to choose from, but the thing is some of us are enthralled by these games from start to end.
There’s no one else around who actually makes games like this.
Yes that’s perfectly reasonable, hence a matter of taste.
I acknowledge all those things but I like them. I hope everyone is able to find games they love according to their own subjective tastes.
Exactly. The only reason physical media has seemed like “owning” is because the mechanism to actually enforce their license has not been feasible.
You know how often movies or shows flip off on streaming services? That’s the future of games if the laws don’t change
Taste issue
It probably helped that one was at least nominally socialist, so the promise of worker liberation was always on the wind, keeping the capitalists a bit nervous like are they serious? what if it actually happens?
If all you Americans converted even 1/10 of this energy to hucking bricks at fascists you’d be out of this mess by now. Sorry for the pseudo fed comment, but I hate to see y’all fight when the real enemy is plain as day.
I’m sorry to hear that and I don’t mean to rub it in, but your local infrastructure isn’t my problem. I do hope it improves, though.
Just for balance there are plenty of things about my region I hate, like our shitty voting laws and piss poor democratic representation, but you wouldn’t catch me complaining to people who enjoy more direct democracy.
