There shouldn’t be Peruvian asparagus available in European supermarkets when it is not the Asparagus season in Europe. All the heatwaves in the world won’t make right wing racists vote less right wing racist.

I’m always torn by the turning the lights off every time I leave a room shortly and will be back in a few to 15 minutes and turn it on again. At which point is the faster breaking of the LED lightbulb because of way more on/off cycles worth minding more over the slight use of electricity from leaving it on while gone? How long of a planned “useless light on” is actually still worth it?

All the extra airmiles will slow down climate change!!
Ich wäre schon zufrieden, wenn nur ein paar Nachbarn ihre nagelneue Schottergarten wieder mit Sträuchern und Bäumen umgestalten würden.

Neither were the heatwaves supposed to be so severe here right now already. Climate predictions were low side estimates, it’s happening faster and consequences of major tipping point influences (ice free arctic) are extremely hard to predict.

While I was in full survival mode, I saw plenty of people in the midday 40°C heat running their daily half marathon 🤦♂️
I just half guerilla planted some shrubs in front of a nearby garage box wall that i don’t own on land that I don’t own. Take That, urban heat island!!!

I planted a raspberry bush a few years ago on a strip of unused leftover nothing land in the neighborhood. Neighborhood kids loved the bush and ate the berries. Birds loved it and ate the berries. Some old hag hated it (“looks untidy!!!”) and sneakily had the bush removed (it’s not her land either) although she knew damn well who had planted it and that kids and birds loved it.
