Doesn’t the office suite still have web versions available? I had to use Windows & Office a few years back. I strongly disliked the weird animated cursor and didn’t bother to dive into the settings, so I switched to the web version. It should apparently have been “worse than the app”, but it didn’t have the horrible cursor and it worked on Linux with Firefox as well.
Fair enough, I guess. I too find the syntax of some languages to be a bit unergonomic. Though, I could probably get used to them, given enough time.
I was just a bit curious, as Rust’s syntax is not nearly as exotic compared to its signature features.
What do you dislike about Rust’s syntax?

According to the Readme, yes.
I didn’t look too deeply, but I assume it modifies .desktop files stored in $XDG_DATA_HOME/applications/ and/or copies system.desktop files there to override them with modified versions.
If it works like I assume, it should work with anything that reads .desktop files from the standard locations.
What do you mean? The Linux kernel doesn’t follow SemVer.
The 6.19 -> 7.0 version bump didn’t have any more inherent meaning than 7.0 -> 7.1 or 7.1 -> 7.2.
