Ah yes, the messenger built by r*ssians in r*ssia, that used r*ssian AS, that was used by r*ssian army for three years. The one that rolled their own verily secure encryption (that doesn’t work anywhere but 1-1 chats), that was questioned from day 1. That was constantly unblocked and blocked by r*ssian government, that was paid by fsb, that r*ssian government literally said is theirs isn’t a surveillance machine. Right. Everything indicates that it isn’t.

Well put, I change computers every 4-5 years and there is little reason to change motherboard. It would be great if possibility existed to easily swap CPU but we don’t have this and changing motherboard just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

I was looking for a new laptop recently and considered framework, exactly because of repairability/upgradeability. They are just too expensive for what you get, buying used enterprise model is a lot more economical and powerful. I ended with thinkpad p1 gen 5 that was essentially new with 64 RAM, rtx 3080 ti laptop for ~$1100. And you can replace everything easily but the motherboard.

“Our super smart ai agi dalek desepticon program is sooooooo smart, we are very scaaaaared send moneys”
I’m going to assume they are trying to pump the hype again, with the same story they do every second month (openai does it on months when anthropic doesn’t).

I’ve worked for a company that used netnut, service was good. Names of the managers/techs were jewish(israeli), so I’m not sure how much this really affected them.

First thing I’ve done after buying kobo installed koreader on it.
Again, it is a r*ssian surveillance machine. Max-telegram story is about internal politics inside r*ssia. You can use it, obviously r*ssia is a far away threat for a lot of people, bit let’s not pretend that it isn’t.
