I’m just under the impression that if you used Linux, you’d be used to tweaking and configuring things to your liking. Which it seems like you didn’t attempt to do with macOS.

Fair points, most of these are fixed with just a config change.
To me it just sounds like you’re used to doing things the windows way, so the Mac/linux way seems more foreign.

You can install and run anything you want on it. I have no idea what you mean by locked down. Are you confusing Mac’s and iPads? iPads are incredibly locked down.

I could understand if you were a windows only guy, but if you can understand and use Linux, it’s surprising that using a Mac is difficult. They are very similar. I spend nearly my whole day in terminal and file system. Is there a reason you think Mac doesn’t have either of these?

Ok yeah, you’ve never used a Mac lol why do you comment on things you have no clue about?

That’s very interesting to me. iPads are essentially toys, Mac’s can actually do real work.

You realize you can change it right? Macs aren’t locked down at all, you can configure anything you want.
Mine works very similar to windows (I think, haven’t used windows in ages), where you drag to the edge/top for full screen or split screen.

This just isn’t true. How much experience do you have using Mac’s and iPads? They are wildly different.

There’s an app called scroll reverser, can change scroll direction for trackpad and mouse separately. I’m the same as you and want “natural” for trackpad and “normal” for mouse.

Turn off the force click option and it’s WAY easier. Force click makes it so pressing “soft” and “hard” are two different actions. If you aren’t used to it, and even sometimes when you are used to it, it does some unexpected things.

It’s kind of interesting you say this. When I go on my Netflix account, I see the same 20-30 things. Gets old and I can never find anything I want to watch. When I’m at my friends and open her Netflix, it’s like a completely different service. I see a ton of things that look interesting that I’ve never seen on my own account. It’s quite strange.

For many people, their options are supporting Elon, or not having internet access. I don’t blame anyone for choosing the former.

If someone needs to be watched to dig a hole, they are a shit hole digger, and should not be trusted to dig a hole.
Also, I wasn’t aware that FSD stood for Full Supervised Driving. Interesting stuff.

Then that’s not full self driving. If you can’t fall asleep in the back seat, it’s not full self driving.

It’s not full self driving to begin with. Never was.

I do agree. I think they purposely make the UI bad to make it less obvious how small of catalog they have compared to Netflix/prime etc.
I’d much rather have a small catalog of mostly high quality shows, compared to whatever the fuck everyone else is doing.
Yeah, they are pretty cool actually.
