Back in the 1980s a pack of gum could snap on your finger like a mousetrap.

The whole thing is very weird, and yet I can’t believe this administration could open gas stations without fucking it up. Maybe they actually managed to get some competent petroleum industry buddies to do it.

Social justice, some clean energy initiatives. That’s about it.

There are just so many potential consumers, even when a high-profile product is shitty enough people still don’t know, don’t care, or have FOMO that they still buy it.

Also when there are shortages of material goods, prices and profits go up.

More enshittification, pvp gaming is going in a direction I won’t go. Maybe if I had a dedicated computer for it, but there are no games that are worth it to me right now.

Our Amazon processing centers are all set to discharge “treated” 95-degree water into our waterways. Board of Supervisors isn’t concerned. Good times.

Which is yet more fucking IRONY from this administration, because A) He learned so much from shithole dictators and B) He is turning the US into a shithole.

I don’t think I would trust it.

Exactly, this administration is very often above the law and most of the US Constitution. They have zero room to complain.

I just spoke to one of my county leaders about discharge last week and they repeated the beautiful story that the data center told them about treating the water to the state standards. I asked who exactly is ensuring the adhere to the standards, just because they can do it doesn’t mean they will. And he had no answer for that, kept talking about other things.

There will always be a few hardware failures, we will have to wait to see if larger tends develop.

A month or two of normalcy will make people forget about all the brazen bullshit happening now. I just hope we get there.

We all see this coming, but the billionaires and our state/county/city leaders assure us everything will be fair and fine.

Same deal with water. It will be 100 degrees and data centers will be draining local water supplies, while residents will be told not to water their flowers or take too many showers.
