I didn’t realize it was going 1.0 on the 10th, I just grabbed it in the summer sale. Nice.

Yes. Yes. Many bottles will be consumed. Some of them with coke and a lime.

Honestly, as selfish as it is, I don’t care about the special election. I want Mitch dead because I want Mitch dead. I want that motherfucker to rot. The sin against me right now is withholding that joy. I have a bottle of rum that I only take a drink out of when a cunt dies. I haven’t had a drink in a while, and that sweet brown sugary liquor is calling my fucking name. Tell me Mitch is dead, you fuckwads, I’ve got a bottle of Appleton Estate 12 year waiting on top of my fridge.

This in particular is probably the worst thing to come out of this whole debacle. id was an ecosystem, not just a dev house. I’m not sure that many will be able to forgive Microsoft after this one. Out of all the studios, this one is the most damning. There just isn’t a clean logic to it other than pure corporate shortsighted greed.

They do give a shit about what the collective is doing, which is ironic, because the people that want things to change are the people that stop Microsoft from seeing what they are doing. When the power user opts out of letting Microsoft see how they use Windows, it pushes Windows user base more towards the center, as Microsoft sees it. So, when a feature is lost, a user can’t claim that the feature was load bearing because their use-case is self-muted. Of course, you can always just switch to Linux and hope whatever feature you want has enough support from the community to maintain status in the kernel, but that’s just trading one engineer for the other.
My dad had some powerful friends. They rented out an aquarium in Tampa for a wedding, and my family went. Because the place was completely empty, my parents just let me run where ever I want. I gotta tell you, that’s some real backrooms shit.

How many of these Steam Machine Killers are going to contribute to Proton? That alone is why Steam gets my money over them. These other players are in it for the cash, riding on the work that is done by others. At least Valve is putting their money where their mouth is.

Optical storage is much cheaper than physical storage at the moment. If I wanted to back up my entire steam library, it would be less expensive to do it with a mix of Blu-rays and DVDs. Blu-rays are also good from 10-50 years, with archival grade good for up to 100 years.
Now, yes, I can just burn the installers to the disc, so that’s fine, but I’m talking specifically about them released big box games, where I don’t necessarily want the game, but I do want the launcher/installer experience as it was when it was first released.

I’d rather see them just list the ISOs so we can burn them to disc ourselves. These are fun, but niche. Listing an ISO isn’t far off from what they regularly do.
Is that a bat in your pocket, or are you just flappy to see me?

It feels so needlessly aggressive. Valve openly stated that there are alternatives to the Steam Machine, and they aren’t trying to own the market. Calling your prebuilt the “Steamroller” is kind of a dickhead move. That’s like Del Taco coming out with a deep friend taco shell and calling it “Fuck your Chalupa, bitch.”
ITT: People who have no idea how marketing and advertising work.
You have to wonder about correlation and causation here. Are the billionaires spending money on these elections because of their Epstein ties? Or is it just that every fucking one of these billionaire perverts is in the fucking files?
