While the Stremio app doesn’t have a settings lock feature, if you’re using Android, per this Reddit thread you can at least disable access to community add-ons by switching the device type in the Stremio settings to FireOS.

Per this page on the Stremio GitHub, apparently the default Stremio content search plugin, Cinemeta, is configurable from the web client to restrict what appears in searches based on age ratings. As the other comment pointed out, they seem to restrict the option to paid users, so as an alternative per this documentation, AIOMetadata is a third-party alternative to Cinemeta with its own parental control feature. The associated AIOStreams plugin apparently also incorporates parental control functionality.

Per this Reddit thread, indexing services like Torrentio cost money to run and will stop functioning if their servers go down. Thankfully there are alternatives to Torrentio—such as the free Jackettio plugin and the paid Debridio plugin—to ensure continued functionality should anything happen to Torrentio.

Torrentio already becomes unstable under heavy load, so I would recommend using another service in conjunction with it as a backup.

All the money being poured into Star Citizen makes me wish Microsoft realized the demand for games in the genre and gave Freelancer a proper AAA remaster (and sequel if successful), but the fan-made Freelancer HD Edition does at least modernize the game somewhat.

The $60 → $70 price increase was just Nintendo being greedy, so the metaphorical “carrot” in this context is raising the price of physical copies to $80 to make the digital price seem like a good deal in comparison (diminishing physical sales further as an excuse to get rid of them entirely), while the “stick” is the game key cards that take any meaning away from owning physical media in the first place.

In any case, disagreement is no reason to insult the intelligence of other users.

They could have used the carrot, but pure greed means they’re now opting for the stick.

By raising the prices for all their games, raising them again for physical copies, and allowing the use of game key cards, Nintendo decided the carrot or stick alone just wasn’t profitable enough, and thus chose both.
