I’m sure they are so upset that they’ll go and rent another $70 game from them to cope.

It would be a shame if the USA were to be disqualified to compete in the next one citing this.

I know, but it’s what should happen. People hold the power to make it happen but don’t have any restraint to follow through.
Pot shots at what? Calling you out for your misinformation?

If we’re going to transition to digital only, a couple things need to happen.
When we purchase a game, we own it. This is not a long term rental.
If we want to sell it or trade it, we can.

Linux works better then Windows 11. If you don’t need Windows for specific software needs, I recommend Linux. If you do need Windows, buy a license off of ebay for cheap.
All games work unless they block you with anti cheat, which are usually the big AAA games like cod/battlefield.
Coding is better on linux.

I have an nvidia pc with Linux on it and a steam deck. My PC out performs the steam deck by a large margin. I use stock drivers, no fancy tweaks.

This is going to end badly for Playstation.
This is a defeatist mindset.
Most people accept the enshittification of the world because they do not know better or they just go with the flow. This is why we have so many problems outside of gaming as well.

What nonsense? I’ve used nvidia since the early 2000s. There are no more issues than AMD right now.

Not anymore. I’d say there has been massive improvements in the last 3-5 years for Nvidia. This was one of the main reasons I didn’t swap over sooner.
I’ve come to terms with this. I view fomo content as disrespectful and I do not support the companies that use it as a tactic.
People have the power to shut down bad practices if they had even a modicum of restraint. They don’t, so here we are.
To make it a bit more clear, they are actively blocking access to the game via anti cheat that doesn’t support linux or in many cases, not enabled.
I have zero issues on arch. I find linux works better out of the box, is more reliable, faster, and doesn’t actively farm your data.
Don’t forget all the new CoD, battlefield, and even tarkov (soon) is requiring TPM 2.0, secure boot, and actively blocking linux making it impossible to even play them.

I’m going to have an unpopular opinion, brace yourselves.
I had a good pc when cyberpunk released. I waited a few days after release to purchase it. I saw the bad reviews and went ahead to see if it’s truly that bad. I experienced a single bug in my first playthrough. This to date, is one of my favorite games. I loved the story, the atmosphere, the art, the gameplay, exploring…
It didn’t deserve the hate it recieved. I don’t think they would have had the reception they did if they didn’t release it for older gen hardware.
I’m just sick of the general population enabling this behavior.
