  • Hmm, I would propose setting things up in your LAN step by step. But it would take a long time.

    • setting up your own dns
    • setting up your own webserver

It’s something someone experienced could make (poc style - proof of concept) in an hour or so, just to show how it works, but it’s a lot for a beginner.

Still, you could start making a simple Webserver hosting a page and then setting up dns for it and pointing a client to the dna server and see how that works.

    It’s infinetly expandable.

  • I held off buying it but I wanted to give it a go for several reasons at one point.

It was cheap now so I tried it. So many unexplained components (and I’m not the hand holding playstyle guy) but I simply didn’t know the consequences of many things. If I lose a package what will happen? Do I have to track it immediately? Will it be gone? Too many what ifs for me.

Anyhow when I then lost everything I was carrying in a river I snapped and deleted it.

    Yes, work

  • Define worth it for you.

The hardware is a great upgrade. And I don’t mean the insides, that seems fine. I mean the changed joycon slotting, the build quality, the stand.

I’d never go back to the first one in general. But. The EX SD cards are still expensive, sizes I’d need are not there and especially if most things are key cards you’d need more storage!

So being a nerd I still have (multiple of) switch 1, not replaced by switch 2. But I find both good, the rails on 1 suck (because of plastic blocker on the joycon thst wears off), both still have non echo thumbsticks so go for 8bitdo controllers but in general the switch 2 is a nice upgrade.

So if you want a switch go for the 2 imo.

Oh but the best Mario kart is 8 and it will likely stay that way.

    A) hard to beat perfect B) intermediate routes…
