As a single player gamer, I’m already dealing with aging hardware and the expensive prospect of ever replacing it by sticking to mainly ‘retro’ style cosy games. Or actual retro games via emulation.
I’m already so far out of the loop with modern 3D games with ray tracing and individual strands of hair rendered that need billion dollar super computers to run, that I ran out of FOMO long ago. That’s stuff for rich kids or people who landed a job that pays more than just to survive.
Can someone explain what the issue with this is? I’m sure there’s some legitimate gripe but so far, in between the memes about people joining forces to stop this cartoon, all I’ve been able to surmise is that people think the style is ugly (even though it looks the same as 80% of cartoon network stuff), and that there are people calling it “heterophobic” and crying that the villains are straight or something.
Are there any non manosphere people that can explain what the big fuss is?
