Be prepared to remove it many times in the future. They basically turn it on every time you update, and at some point they will remove the option to even do that and make it mandatory.

That is not a question we have an actual answer to yet though. So any strong claim like that is based entirely on your own personal opinions, not facts.

This really misses the point. Humans are taking the majority of other species with us. It doesn’t matter that we are not destroying the entire planet forever, of course life will go on, but triillions of animals and plants are going to suffer and die entirely because of our actions.

Except the mob who did that deed was more comparable to a January 6th US Republican lynch mob than actual revolutionaries. It was the leaders which they ate who were considered progressive for their time.

Considering he is not the only billionaire behaving like this, in fact I couldn’t think of a single billionaire who doesn’t act like this, then the behaviour seems to be some sort of disease transmitted by extreme wealth.

There is no pattern. The “most empires fall after 250 years” is just some guy claiming it, there is no facts to back it up, and no historian has ever made such a claim.

There is no tinfoil about it. Jensen Huang and the other tech oligarchs have openly stated that is their goal.

Yeah, there are several new generations of fascists ready to take over when the old ones die off, with exactly the same opinions and goals. It is not an age thing, it is a class thing, but oligarch mouthpieces love to spout this particular brand of obfuscation as part of their propaganda, because it seems to be really succesful strategy.
Because they are mainly producing components for datacenters, which will be used for cloud computing. Only consumergrade hardware is overpriced.
Bread and circus.
