The Sims has gay people in it. Saudi Arabia really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really doesn’t like gay people.

Call it big mac day. I’m pretty sure his parents didn’t exclusively eat loads of clown meat every day.

I could have had a note and a texture thingy (I would rub the screen and textured case to self soothe) although the phone is more discrete cause everyone has one.

When I was in highschool I had an app to help calm me (recommended by my therapist) because I had such severe anxiety problems. I know there are things you can do without an app but it was helpful when I was panicking so much I could hardly think. I don’t think a blanket ban is appropriate. Phones aren’t inherently bad and it really depends on how they are being used. It makes more sense to revoke phone privileges from individual students if they can’t use them properly.

In addition to what erin said, I also want to point out that changing your name does not automatically change your name in the vital records. You have to do that yourself and it’s not that intuitive, plus it costs additional money on top of the other name change costs.

Being trans, I have experienced that myself and due to wording on the court order and from what the judge told to me, I incorrectly believed my birth record would automatically get updated. According to the vital record support person I talked to, that’s actually a really common mistake and happens all the time.

I’m sure there are many people with outdated records simply because they too incorrectly believed that it would be an automatic thing. For some it’s probably even intentional if they feel their married name doesn’t belong on their birth record.
