I think it is intended more for the relatively hidden cameras on some glasses. A body cam (at least currently) looks pretty obviously like a recording device, whereas some of the perv goggles can hide the lense pretty well.
Simple as it sounds, you just plug them into a wall outlet and as long as the grid is powered, it will feed power back into your house. The grid being powered requirement means they don’t work during blackouts, but that is mainly intended to avoid electrocuting a line worker when they expect the line not to have any power.

The issue I’m seeing with the whole case is they siezed his phone, they kept his phone, the seizure of his property happened successfully. A person later entered something they believed would open it but instead it wiped it. The end user didn’t wipe it, and didn’t lie to the agents of the state because a duress PIN is still a PIN, I’m willing to wager they didn’t specify that they wanted his ‘unlock PIN’ and instead just asked him for a PIN (personal identification number), which he gave.

I had to RTO to an empty building, after a year and a half or two, two more people moved into the building. All I can think is ‘why must I sit in traffic for an hour everyday to be 80 miles away from my coworkers?’… Then the mortgage comes due and I remember why I deal with the traffic and remember how nice it is not really being contactable after hours (computer stays in the office). I’ve been using an old rack server to run a handful of containers (Authentik, jotty, crap like that) for the past few years… I’d been gathering parts for a while and when I built it I had 768GB of ddr4 laying around, so that’s what it got. Well for the past year I’ve been wanting to shift to something lower power… It might be the time to make the investment into an usff pc and scrap this thing out.

WMIC allows an amazing amount of control for admins that know what they are doing. One of my favorite uses was back when I worked helpdesk, users would exit Lync and be unreachable, well WMIC can allow an admin to open that app back up in the users session and then they are suddenly reachable again.
Some people use the old psexec, others have been using WMIC since before powershell even existed.

That’s what I would go with if I was inclined. Create a volume the size of the drive and add a hidden volume with a different password within like we’ve been doing for years (decades at this point maybe almost).

Man I eventually stopped fighting that hurdle and just changed the login screen to say “Broken-ass auth” so I remember that one is different.
