I just lost my union a couple months ago, they still exist I guess the government decided they didn’t want some of us to have a union going forward.

Dumb assholes that don’t read the reports or pay attention in meetings where this is cost is brought up.

I get a pretty nice package of time off but pretty much never used it until recently, our team of four turned into just me and I’m seriously eyeing the 500+ hours of sicktime I have banked.
I’m not going to keep just working through stuff, it really doesn’t seem to pay off.

I sit in almost weekly meetings with some of their engineers for some projects we have going on, it’s painful at times but at least some of the tech is “fun”. I’ve known a couple people that moved to Microsoft to be Customer Success Managers or whatever and they said it was a pretty chill job with lots of benefits.

Sucks to walk away from a company after 30 years of gaming with them but… Let’s be real, the writing has been on the wall for a while, so much so that I didn’t even bother buying this latest generation. I have footlockers full of systems and games but my PlayStation’s had always been my favorite.
A little bittersweet, but maybe it was time.

Meanwhile the Microsoft engineers I frequently work with just give me AI slop then spend the next meeting verifying that our changes didn’t ‘break’ the thing that doesn’t work.

They should make fun noises at the data center. I don’t like the thought Rhythm Nation or whatever was the only song that can break hard drives, try with everything until the hum stops (or at least sounds more expensive).
If they can hum at us, we should be able to hum back.

I mean did any country think it was a one-way info faucet? Where do they think the Intel was coming from?

They didn’t say in the message what they are moving me to, just that it’s $6 more per line so another $18 per month… This after they ended the autopay discount unless you gave them direct access to your bank account (and for me that would mean losing the phone insurance provided by MC world).

Yeah, I’m a bit pissed that the military plan is changing. Bill for me is going up around $20.
Oh no, with those savings they could pay a month of rent in 5 years or so!
