Well in the case of the Netherlands, solar panels used to be subsidised by the government (I think that program ended last year or something), and currently, you can get subsidies for home batteries. The government does also want to fix the grif after all.

There’s actually quite a lot of people here that have solar panels and a home battery here, enough to make a measurable difference when imbalance ia high.

I don’t even understand how they imagine this will work. Most printers are certainly not powerful enough to do real 3d object detection. Even if they forced slicers to include this, just fork OrcaSlicer and take it back out. Actually a lot of printers run open source software as well, so we can just fork klipper of it ever comes to that.

Even if I could afford ram, that doesn’t even mean I can afford a framework laptop. I’ve looked at them every time I’ve thought about buying a laptop, but they’re just so damn expensive and I already have a perfectly good desktop.

One use-case is people with dynamic energy contracts. You don’t want your solar panels to return power to the grid if the energy price is negative, because you’d pay for every watt returned. This way the energy provider can remotely stop the inverters if prices are negative.

Though afaik the on-board connectivity is usually exclusively for the API the manufacturer’s app uses. There’s some energy providers in the Netherlands that use this API as well, but this is slow and sometimes unreliable. My employer also installs these panels+inverters, but we control them using modbus via a device we manufacture that you plug in to the modbus/control port. It connects to us via mobile 4g, because we don’t want to rely on the customer’s network (even when wired).

There’s some other issues with how they handled snap as well. If you use apt to install Firefox for example, it won’t install the native .deb by default, but silently install the snap version instead. People were rightfully mad a out that.

Also the fact that it’s proprietary and (afaik) only supports canonicals own repository, make me not feel bad for them this failed. They explicitly made it so unlikeable.

There was one pokemon game on the DS that I tried playing a while ago, where the professor asks of you’re familiar with pokemon already. And then proceeds to give you the whole spiel regardless.

Not a problem if you have your own panels and your own battery.

I’m not a city planner so i dont know where they’d go if you want to support the whole country, maybe ask one of them?

Also, you don’t need to immediately take over the electricity of the whole damn country. Just start with one battery park somewhere, that already helps somewhat, and build out from there.

I mean it sure does help if the OS you’re running this software on isn’t also a bloated mess.

But yeah unfortunately there’s so much needlessly slow software out there, that it probably doesn’t make that much of a difference anymore.

Well the whole system just went down. So most likely not am Immich issue, but a weak ass server issue.

Well yeah I counted the ones that didn’t have those annotations.

I’m running Immich as a TrueNAS app. Unfortunately after upgrading to v3 the immich container is stuck on starting, without outputting any logs. Haven’t had the time to debug yet though.

They literally just sent you the list. I count at least 27.

Even if they can’t, the publisher can always just push an update that makes it unplayable.

I’m pretty sure they can require an update before launching, and you have to be online every once in a while to play games on steam at all.

Sure it is, all you had to do was not press the submit button.

Also there was an article written by a seemingly reputable outlet, so yeah I’ll choose to believe them. And there’s also the fact that the CEO denied nothing. You would think he would clarify the party’s stance once the backlash started coming, if everyone were wrong.
