I suppose we’ll see, but if the numbers were real, seems 15% still bought physical. I’m one of those. I pretty much only buy games physically. I wouldn’t mind if they kept selling the mountain bike (disc drive) and let others maintain the roads of their own volition. (Super rare games, etc.)

Huh? What is this analogy? Doesn’t make sense to me. In this case, your mountain bike provider is the sole provider of courses in the world and is now deciding to get rid of all off-road courses. Only asphalt remains.

I’d argue that that is exactly what you voted for. The option to still have physical media.
You may well have been buying mostly digital games, but you DID buy the console with a disk drive for a reason.
The headline is inflammatory, but the article just boils down to “Feedback might be that a class is boring, but the solution isn’t necessarily tweaking the class itself. Rather tweaking the progression systems or other tangentially related systems could be the solution.”
Which seems level headed to me
