You’re making up cases that don’t need to exist. The basic command and its defaults works fine. It can download every video from every channel. Don’t need anything else.

You can download podcasts straight from the source rather than youtube

Using YouTube and specialist together is hilarious

Customizing how? For quality and size?

You think typing yt-dlp URL is rough for users? I cannot think of a simpler command line command other than maybe ls.

I really like Hoarder but their new interface update is trash. It looks fine on the phone though.

Went on a run, for the glory of the empire!

Bioware has barely released any descent games in over a decade. EA did not kill them.

Lmao that is such a joke

Why would a local server even have open internet access though?

This alerts feel more relevant for public facing servers.

With such a ridiculous offer, I can only believe you are right.

What a rude response when you are asking for help. CS allowing you to raise a chicken isn’t childish tho lol

Ah you are a new account

Surprised you haven’t played Overwatch! I’m loving it

I would highly consider that as a Linux user

Non-tech comment, but for those who have not been to Malaysia the capital, KL, makes American mid-sized cities appear very walkable. Driving is essential for Malaysia.

Thanks for this post, something I miss from earlier selfhosting communities.

I have simply running two SFF Lenovo Thinkcentres—one for all local services and another for all online services. They could run on one but I keep them separate for security and stability reasons. I often crash the local one by running out of space…

I finally got to building a second backup recently which I am happy about.

Honestly, since moving and downsizing from several services at home and at work, this solution works. I run out of space frequently but it forces me to not hoard things I will not actually use. My previous rack server seeded something like 50tb as I kept everything I leached to benefit the community, now less possible.

This has also made me move away from services that are not needed.

• [ ] I would like to offload all my home videos to an external drive as I am running out of space for actual services and Jellyfin media.

• [ ] I would like to consolidate all of my local and online databases rather than run a new one for each container stack.

The last thing you want to do is give up your life to google and microsoft. Get yourself a graphemeOS compatible phone

So, buy a google phone, lol

I also like Shikantaza :)

Because it shows it’s LLM made.

As a PhD year 2 I assure you they work, you freaking removed. I study computer science btw.

A PhD second year in October is someone who took one year of courses quite similar to undergraduate work, lol. As a candidate, someone who has actually done work (prelims, language work, dissertation writing, fieldwork, etc.) beyond taking classes, this is nonsense.

I assure you they work, you freaking removed.

This statement does not make any sense and further proves my first point.

I study computer science btw.

Ahh, that explains it.
