Under federal law, an official who orders, brings or keeps “troops or armed men” at a location where a general or special election is taking place can face up to five years in prison and disqualification from federal office.

    Yup. Same way the cops break up a protest - you arrest people on nonsense charges, take them in and book them, and by the time you’re released the event is over.

    And by the time it comes to trial, they dismiss and you take it since the alternative is to fight a battle that will take over your life, and not change that.
