There are protected wild horses on federal land.
It’s illegal to hunt them or kill them for meat.
But the Trump administration has found a loophole: if they capture them and sell them to a foreign entity alive, that foreign entity can legally butcher them.
It’s darkly funny because those horses are a invasive species that only have federal protections because conservatives like to pretend to be cowboys.
